To host a casino night, you will need plenty of space for gaming tables. For large parties, you may want to consider renting space; however house parties can be very successful if you have large enough rooms that connect to each other. Guests should be able to easily flow from one room to another. You should plan to have at the very least a roulette wheel and poker and/or black jack tables. Craps is also a very fun and fast-paced game where the spectators participate by placing bets on the person rolling the dice. A craps table takes a little more space, but is well worth it if you can fit the table comfortably in a room.
If you need or want to take the party to
another venue, there are plenty of hot
spots in the NYC (and tri-state) area to
host your event. We would be happy to
find you the right location, meeting your
party size, theme and budget. Feel free
to contact us any time!

What’s a party without food?! For a casino party you can go with anything from light hors d’oeuvres and drinks to a formal sit down dinner. Your options are nearly limitless. Here are the questions to ask when thinking about the food for your event:
What is the budget? Casino parties can be expensive to host –but they are worth it! However, if you need to keep a cap on the budget, food is a great place to cut back. Serve light food, coffee and drinks.
How many guests will there be? The number of guests will help determine your food options. For example, if you are having 30 guests, a formal sit down dinner in your home may be difficult, but grazing stations or hors d’oeuvres may be perfect. Insider’s Party Tip: Invite your guests to arrive at 8 or 9pm after they would have eaten dinner and serve a dessert buffet soon after they arrive. They will love sampling all of the desserts AND you save money on food!
What is the theme? Are you having a James Bond party? – Then martinis are in order. Is the event black tie? – Then think fancy foods and desserts. Are you having an “Old West” party? –Then bring out the salsa and chips. Don’t be afraid to barbeque some chicken or ribs or make western style kabobs.

To wrap up your party, make sure you close the gaming tables about 45 minutes before you wish the party to end. Stop serving alcohol, and start serving coffee, and tea so that people have a bit of time to sober up before you go if they have only had a couple, or so that you have enough time to arrange cabs, or drivers for those who did not make plans earlier. Hold your auction or awards ceremony for the big winners and losers. Be sure to make this part of the night fun and full of energy. If possible, send everyone home with some sort of party favor. If there are extra desserts, pack these up for guests to take home too. Your hired casino dealers will discreetly clean up their tables and leave at this time too.
As you say goodbye to your guests, congratulate yourself on a job well done and a party that will be the talk of the town for months to come. And worry about cleaning up the cups and plates tomorrow morning!
